Do You ever ask "Why do bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people?" That is certainly an age old question that we never seem to have answer to. The churchy answer is that God is sovereign and we just need to trust Him in all things. While that is SO true how do we help someone that may be doing all the right things, but life is still such a struggle and nothing is easy. Proverbs 15:23 "Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time!"
Have you ever felt like telling someone that? Well we are going to chat about how YOU can mind YOU OWN business. What is Discord and how does it sabotage our efforts to have the mind (attitude) That Jesus had? Phil. 2:5-8 “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,[b] 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[c] being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.: 1. Humility: Molly: Jesus’ example of humility was that he was God and didn’t use it to take an advantage over others. Though He did use it to conquer sin on the Cross for each of us. It was actually the opposite of humility, Pride, that brought sin into the world because man wanted to be like God. The great lie by Satan in the garden. 2. Servant: Cindy: Are you willing to wash your friend or foes feet. Jesus did. Ask God for his help in serving others. 3. Obedient: Janet shares how she was given opportunities to be obedient to what God has asked her to do… praying with a stranger and giving a little bag of goodies to a person in need. What is God Asking you to do? Wrap up and Take Away: I named it “mind our own business” because that’s really the only “business” that we CAN mind. Managing others will never work and it is exhausting. Start this new season with the mindset of Humility, Servanthood, and Obedience. Please Let us know how you are “Minding your own business.” We’d love you hear your tips and tricks. (CLICK PICTURE TO VIEW VIDEO ON YouTube)
